There is a unique combination of towns in the Southern Coast. From quaint coastal towns to bustling recreational towns, making York a diverse coastal region.

Perhaps most famously, York is home to Kennebunkport, the summer residence of former president George Bush. It is also home to Old Orchard Beach, whose miles of sandy beaches attract thousands of tourists in the summer. Much of this community, with it's boardwalk atmosphere and it's small amusement park, shuts up tightly in the off-season.
